 Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan dead at age 80 Former UN Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan has died after a short illness, a UN agency confirmed Saturday. Annan, who was born in Ghana in 1938, served as the seventh UN Secretary-General, from 1997 to 2006, and was the first to rise from within the ranks of the United Nations staff. Five female students from the Regina Pacies Secondary School Onitsha, Anambra state who represented Nigeria and Africa at the World Technovation Challenge which held in the Silicon Valley in San Francisco, US, won the Gold Medal in the contest. The girls namely Promise Nnalue, Jessica Osita, Nwabuaku Ossai, Adaeze Onuigbo and Vivian Okoye, defeated representatives of other technological giants including the USA, Spain, Turkey, Uzbekistan and China to win the gold medal. These young ladies in Junior Secondary School, developed a mobile application called 'FD Detector' to tackle the problems of fake pharmaceutical products in Nigeria. Decided to put my culinary skills to work once again... my second attempt in making fried rice 😁🙈 (issa big deal) Growing up at home in Port Harcourt.. I dreaded kitchen work..(Cooking)...I avoided it like a plague! My mum knew not to involve me cos I will fail woefully... the only thing then I could do was boil water and maybe make  eba.. even to boil rice...'I sucked' It didn't really matter because my sisters were available to do the needful..so I will gladly do the other house chores and avoid the kitchen! I went for a movie premiere over the weekend..as my friends and I walked up to the red carpet..it was a bit busy with celebs and co..waiting to be photographed. Waited patiently for the crowd to disperse so I can also take photos.. Initially wasn't interested in the photos ..only wanted my personal pictures with phone ...my friend took a few.. She goes ...why don't you go on the carpet so the photographers can take you.. I obliged and the next thing all the photographers acted like...they can't be bothered... *Like Seriously* they all turned away..looking for the next celeb to take! Well I jejely removed myself from the carpet..lol (no shame) cos I can hold my own any day...I didn't feel bad or anything but my friend was so pissed and couldn't take it..so she walked off... Yesterday the 7th of July was the birthday of veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD... our very own Denzel! After so many years...this living legend is still very relevant in the Nollywood industry and keeps  marking his foot prints  in the sands of time... I remember watching him growing up ..and in my adult years he is still here and creating a Mark.
