My Encounter With Lagos Traffic Rubber: Lagos Na Wa!...Sigh.
I've been hearing about these thieves in traffic and how they break people's window's and take all their valuables. In order not to encounter them, I made a decision to always leave my bag in the booth and hide my phones in the glove compartment of my car. Little did i know that i was soon going to be a victim of this wicked act. I was returning to the mainland from VI yesterday (30th dec 15) and there was a bit of traffic just after the 3rd mainland bridge. Forgetting myself and the insecurity in the town, (sometimes i wonder if there is a governer in this town!;anyway gist for another day) I brought out my phone and my window was half way down, from no where a guy came and snatched my phone,he was with a hammer or something maybe to break my windscreen. Luckily there was nothing else in the car to take.
I was so confused and in shock, don't know where I got the courage to shout which made him to run.
The annoying thing about this situation is not even about the phone, its the contacts and documents/important things stored in the phone that one can't get back! Sigh.
Do not wish anyone to experience such at all!
I hope that this nonsense stops soon cos it's getting out of hand.
Lagos na real wa oooh!...
