Nicole's Journal : My Convo With A Church Stranger Who Was Asking For Money!

Church stranger : good evening Me: hi Church stranger : errrm please I want to ask  you for something Me : how  may I help you? Church stranger : I don't have a job.....bla bla bla... Me : huh?! Church stranger  : I need transport home... bla bla bla.... things are hard..I am jobless Me : so how did you get to church? Church stranger: I trekked! Me : (in my head: why don't you walk back!?) Me : eeerrrrrr.....I'm also out  of a job! Church stranger  : I know you are bigger than what am asking you Me : Amen to that! Me: but I'm sorry ....at this very moment, I wont be able to assist you...may be you try someone else! Church stranger : eeehn...really!? Me : yes..I don't have any money to give you Church Stranger : ( looks at me funny) ok oh no problem Walks away... ..  ... Walks past me 5mins later.... Church stranger : so I got someone to give me..right now..someone just gave me 1000 naira now Me : oh wow..praise God! ( although I didn't see the money) Yea..... this is my conversation this evening in church after midweek service. Dude was feeling  very entitled...the guts tho! Like he put money in my pocket. Anyone ever encountered all those folks who never miss church service week in week out but never have transport fare back home...same drama every week , they move from one church member to another with all these stories...like they are the only ones with issues. If you you don't have money to move about..why not sit your ass (excuse my french) down at home! Today's experience was the weirdest though!

Hmmmn where do I start from... Some time last month ..I took up the courage to apply for a teaching course in yoga and got in..hence the silence here! I've had an interest in the practice for quite a while..when the opportunity came up to learn how to teach yoga...I jumped on it I most say it's been 5 weeks of intense ..deep ..and whatever adjective you can think of....work ! I've learnt so much..it may not seem like such a big deal but believe me when I say it's huge! Never knew yoga was that deep..when I took up the course..in my mind it was just a regular work out routine since  fitness is my forte.. It  will be easy (I said to myself) afterall it's all about the physical work but..who sigh!.. It goes beyond that.. there is the mental and emotional as well..relating to ones self... we had to learn and unlearn and learn again..from self discovery to the physical practise ...anatomy and physiology to meditation...awareness and a whole lot more.... ...

Nicole's Journal... Friends Who Marry and Cut You Off Because You Are Single!!!

Okay...so I never understand this thing girls do.. Why is it that when your single friends get married they cut you off cause in their head you are bad luck and it's a taboo to hang around single girls seeing that they have left the single girls club! That's how a friend of mine used me during her wedding planning but the moment the wedding was over  'puff' she was gone with the wind...like I am some sort of plaque! I didn't hear from her again until she needed me for her baby's dedication! (story for another day!) Recently I bought an asoebi from a friend of a mutual friend.. I was practically forced to get it...guess what....I didn't get invited for the wedding! I'm wondering if any one has experienced such before..so they reach out to you to get asoebi but forget to send you an invitation for the D-day Funny yea!? Arrrgh 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to spare y'all the details..not important!

Hey Guys, And here’s why. Every morning that I can remember until I was 41, I woke up to the voice of my mother singing Happy Birthday to me. Be it when I was a kid in my room or when I was older and had moved away, she would call on the phone and sing her heart out. How I miss her voice, off key and all... lol. All of that to say that anytime I hear some individual sing it to me, it reminds me that she's not here anymore. Sure saying it is fine, but the song… well, hearing it sung by one person makes me sad. I don't mind a group singing it so much, but one singular voice haunts me.   Just by natural reflex I woke up this morning, being half asleep, I reached for the phone to see if she had left a message, but then I realized that she died 6 years ago.
