Christmas Is In The Air... Don't Forget Jesus Is The Reason For The Season!

Yay...just two (2) days left to Christams...I just smelled the Christmas breeze in the air today when I came outside early this morning..the cool harmattan breeze that greeted me just reminded me of the festivities! Shame no travel to my motherland this year gonna miss my mommas cooking and all the drama sorrounded with it..the full house the Christmas tree and decorations and rearranging of the house with my sisters gush I miss them so..hope I don't get too emotional since we are all sort of scattered at the moment in our various locations and everyone doing their thang with immediate family..so no one is coming home this year! My niece and nephews running around the house..miss that too. So am all by myself this year..been cracking my brain on weather to cook or just Christmas hop (go from house to house)😁 and eat all the goodies I see.. Yeah maybe will do that visit friends and family..wondering what shows to attend too I love this town called Lagos cos there is never a dull moment..they are the life of the party mehn! Know how to drain people pockets especially in this season with all kinds of activities and events! Anyhuu... my dear friends in all of these let's remember the reason for the season..even as you all are gearing up for the preparations and gbedu...and thinking and planning on what to do(just like me) do not fail to spread love..be your brothers keeper even as you celebrate..be grateful that you are even able to celebrate also remember that there is someone somewhere wishing they can even see water to drink and join in the celebration! So try as much as you can to touch a life this season..do something for someone no matter how little it may seem..put a smile on someone's face today and beyond .. smile at someone..it may just be all they need..be kind be polite..even as you commute on our crazy roads ...show other road users some kindness! Visit the homeless and spread love if you can..share food with your neighbours.. buy someone a gift..just do something..anything! And never ever forget that Jesus is the reason for the season and this and much more He will want us to do..it's because he came we are able to celebrate. So do not forget to thank him and be grateful for life! Do not take him out of Christ...mas! Remember He is the reason for the season! Spread love!😘👍 Deuces xoxo😇🎅

Hmmmn where do I start from... Some time last month ..I took up the courage to apply for a teaching course in yoga and got in..hence the silence here! I've had an interest in the practice for quite a while..when the opportunity came up to learn how to teach yoga...I jumped on it I most say it's been 5 weeks of intense ..deep ..and whatever adjective you can think of....work ! I've learnt so much..it may not seem like such a big deal but believe me when I say it's huge! Never knew yoga was that deep..when I took up the course..in my mind it was just a regular work out routine since  fitness is my forte.. It  will be easy (I said to myself) afterall it's all about the physical work but..who sigh!.. It goes beyond that.. there is the mental and emotional as well..relating to ones self... we had to learn and unlearn and learn again..from self discovery to the physical practise ...anatomy and physiology to meditation...awareness and a whole lot more.... ...

Nicole's Journal... Friends Who Marry and Cut You Off Because You Are Single!!!

Okay...so I never understand this thing girls do.. Why is it that when your single friends get married they cut you off cause in their head you are bad luck and it's a taboo to hang around single girls seeing that they have left the single girls club! That's how a friend of mine used me during her wedding planning but the moment the wedding was over  'puff' she was gone with the wind...like I am some sort of plaque! I didn't hear from her again until she needed me for her baby's dedication! (story for another day!) Recently I bought an asoebi from a friend of a mutual friend.. I was practically forced to get it...guess what....I didn't get invited for the wedding! I'm wondering if any one has experienced such before..so they reach out to you to get asoebi but forget to send you an invitation for the D-day Funny yea!? Arrrgh 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to spare y'all the details..not important!

Hey Guys, And here’s why. Every morning that I can remember until I was 41, I woke up to the voice of my mother singing Happy Birthday to me. Be it when I was a kid in my room or when I was older and had moved away, she would call on the phone and sing her heart out. How I miss her voice, off key and all... lol. All of that to say that anytime I hear some individual sing it to me, it reminds me that she's not here anymore. Sure saying it is fine, but the song… well, hearing it sung by one person makes me sad. I don't mind a group singing it so much, but one singular voice haunts me.   Just by natural reflex I woke up this morning, being half asleep, I reached for the phone to see if she had left a message, but then I realized that she died 6 years ago.
